Elevated view

For a change, I decided to take a different path today. Instead of going along the towpath, I went over the ‘new’ bridge and up the hill along the footpath to the nearby village of Gayton. I got to within a stone’s throw of the village, but didn’t feel like slogging and sliding through the drifted snow.
