All the hard work

Back in 2014 we were constantly replacing rotten planks  (see here) on the wooden boardwalk in this park that was Tunbridge Wells first municipal park created in 1889. Then in 2015 the  conservation group helped the park apply for and succeed in getting  a £1m Heritage Lottery grant. Two years later we had replaced all  500m of boardwalk with plastic wood look alike planks that will not rot.  This is also the site of the beaver dams of a recent blip. You can see both here.  Mr P and I strolled round the park in the sun looking at all the work that has been done with the lottery money . It really is very nice park now.  More pics in extras - the pond was transformed and even the uninspiring area near the skatepark has been cheered up with crocuses. I have blipped the wetlands before.
