LIfe after the "Beast from the East"

After the drama of  last week we are beginning to see the damage.

Everything from broken branches, trees uprooted, burst pipes, to three sudden deaths of acquaintances including one of a hill walker found dead on our local Ochils.

Oh yes someone hired a private snowplough to clear the road beyond us at great expense. She has a herd of rare sheep and some ponies.

For the first time ever I heard people remarking how these recent extreme weather conditions were “scary”.

This is nature at its most violent and raw and we are likely to see more of it due to climate change.

Finally, the garden is beginning to emerge from under its snow blanket.
