Sunshine Gondola

We travelled to Sunshine Ski Resort today.  

It straddles British Columbia and Alberta, and is about 15km from Banff.

Public access to the ski area is via a magnificent gondola ride which covers 4.5km and takes almost 20 minutes. (All vehicles remain in the carpark below.)  We have accommodation on the field.

There was light snow falling when we arrived and a breeze which made it bitterly cold.  We are hoping for some sunny weather tomorrow to explore the ski field.

We called into Banff on the way, and it was looking pretty as usual (see extra image).
