Uplifting

Today dawned beautifully sunny and bright with a few blobs of fluffy cloud wandering around at low level but generally gorgeous. However our rep texted to say that it would not last and that heavy snow and fog would come in like a big bully to spoil things. Our Chalet manager warned us of this too, so taking advantage of the fine conditions we all cracked on up the Porta Vescovo lift right up into the sunshine, a piedi for me, and the others with skis. I wandered around at the top taking photos whilst they skied a bit and then we joined up for coffee, by which time it had already gone dull, the banks of cloud in the valleys were getting thicker and a few flakes had started to fall.
My main photo is of the view from the sun terrace and my extra shows the cable car looming out of the murk only a few minutes later.
I went back down on the cable car and pottered around Arabba taking a few photos then we all had lunch, Goulash soup and bread, delicious and warming. LooseCanon retired early as he didn't fancy the conditions and we are meeting G and P later for an apres ski  drink.
Hmmmm Jagertee or Bombardino....decisions decisions....
