... the wee bee!

I had the most unexpected and surprising conversation with a colleague today who shared with me about their rich ancestry. I heard the story of a Singapore WW2 prisoner, their role in building the Bridge on the River Kwai and that his diary has been published as a book. They then showed me a picture of a boat that took part in the 1940 Dunkirk rescue and that the skipper was a relative. As if this family history was not enough, I learnt from them that another side of the family had been traced all the way back to the Scottish outlaw Rob Roy. It just gave me goosebumps.
