Looking both ways

I had a great night playing music with friends last night and it was  1.30am when I got to bed this morning as home is quite a drive from where we meet. On the way home it was lovely to see a barn owl out hunting.

I had to be up bright and early this morning for the Birdwatching Group. We went along the Montgomery Canal which was frozen and there was still some snow hanging around. We saw or heard quite a few different types of bird and enjoyed a walk in the sun. This is a shot of two of our members checking for birds on each side of the canal.

Tonight I'm off to the first meeting of a curlew and lapwing conservation group which should be interesting.
