All Aboard

Today at the Cameron Art Museum, docents were given a tour of the new exhibit (North Carolina Arts Council Artist Fellowship 2017 Award Exhibition) by Holly, the curator.  You are viewing a walk-in vehicle of sorts, by Winston Salem artist Jason Adams.  Visitors are invited to step in and take a trip.  Holly is the woman in the center of the picture and also found in the thumbnail.  There are several films in the exhibit, one of which can be seen on the back wall, directly to the right of Holly showing an animated look by the guy on the screen.

The extra depicts a 28 section work made of the most gerrymandered voting districts in the United States, created from iron gall ink on hand-made paper made from Sea Isle Cotton shirts, a work that will disintegrate over time.  The artist is Jina Valentine (Durham, NC and Chicago).
