sunlight on kirkwall

Although it was a grey start to the day, it brightened up and was a lovely afternoon and evening. 

Really noticing the extra daylight hours. After the shops had closed it was lovely walking round Kirkwall. Everywhere quiet, though plenty of dog walkers and joggers out for some evening exercise.

Today I had to go through an Alice in Wonderland type door. It's in a shop I go to frequently, but I've never noticed the door before. It took me into a long, dark, cupboard. It was just wide enough to walk along. In torch light I picked my way over various boxes and bits of metal, until right at the end, there it was.... a meter! Joy!
