the boxing day test at the MCG

the iconic aussie cricket experience

saw the aussies getting defeated (very ungraciously) for the first time in years.

with only 20,000 people in the ground, it looked a bit sparse (it seats 100,000 but most melbournians had headed off on holiday after Boxing Day)

ate a bunch of junk, watched the game from various places in the grounds and taught the kids the fine art of watching a cricket match. though as it was their first time, i suspect most other crickets matches might look a bit low key after the scale of the MCG..
