We've Gone To The Movies

The tour included a visit to Hobbiton, the setting for The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings films, neither of which have we seen but, ever willing, joined in the fun, trooping round a series of cleverly constructed miniature dwellings.

I most enjoyed the pretty gardens and watching a Monarch butterfly feeding on the flowers, thus missing a fair amount of the excellent commentary, and seeing a song thrush sitting by one of the Hobbit front doors, watching the daft humans waving their cameras and phones about and getting in each other's way.

Actually it was pretty impressive and the complementary cider completed the visit very nicely.
