Peace

"If there must be trouble, let it be in my day, that my child may have peace. "

Well! It nearly all ended in disaster this trip to the movies.....We had three children and a semi-responsible adult in the car and off we set in the drizzle and fog to collect the last member of our party. On arrival at Anna's house we all bailed out and did the over-excited greeting thingy, and all piled back in. And that is when it happened. The disaster.

All three seat belts in the back jammed. Simultaneously. I ask you with tears in my navy blue eyes.... what the hell is that all about? Anna's mum came along and the six of us pushed and pulled and thumped and walloped and swore, but they would not budge. If anything, they stuck tighter and tighter.

Time for plan B. A large gin and tonic Instate the two extra seats in the boot which was interesting, having never done this before, but after more swearing and a bit of brute force they were ready for action. During the meanwhilst a tiny miracle happened and the middle back seat belt unjammed itself, providing us with just enough seats for the number of bottoms... and off we set.

I did my very best Sterling Moss and managed to get my lot to Witney in record time and all in one piece....collective sigh of relief!

The kids had a fab time at Madagascar 3 and I had a fab time shopping and consuming a very delicious Chocolate and Raspberry torte. As predicted yesterday a good time was indeed had by all.

These beautiful white doves were nestling in the Stained glass window of the church in Witney, finding a little shelter from the nipping wind.
