Didn't have the patience to wait for the "Marché du Midi" Sunday morning. Went to my local Turkish fruiterers. OK - the bananas & the mandarins are ready - the apples & pears will need the benefit of central heating to ripen...

And then there are the limes - advertised as "Citrons verts à jus" - they are perfectly dry :o(

Silly me - they're from Mexico - poor buggers are jet-lagged out of their skins.
