Hockney Gallery

Mad day today work wise and still at it for at least a couple more hours, so a brief pause to blip post. I arrived 30min early for an afternoon meeting so called in at Salts Gallery to unwind.

This room is one of my favourite in the whole world. A room from the old mill, it has be enrestored and now houses mostly images of David Hockney's. The space is about 120 yards by 30 yards. Today the air was lifted by opera arias and the smell of lilies. I've seen written that art galleries are the new churches for the masses - not sure I agree with that much, but I do recognise that spaces like this currating great art are places where one connects with a deeper part of yourself.

The room is a tribute to the vision of the architect of the mill, and Sir Titus Salt and more laterly the late Jonathan Silver who respectively designed, conceived and reclaimed this space, and now a place where one of Bradford famous son's shows his fabulous images.
