one day in France

Today in Nashville

We went into town early and did the Ryman Auditorium tour. This is where the Grand Ole Opry was recorded for many years, and the building has an interesting history. Then we went to RCA Studio B and saw another obligatory cross on the floor, marking where Elvis stood while recording many songs.
Elvis's recording contract was sold to RCA by Sun Studios for $35000 and all parties were happy they had got a good deal, as that was a fortune at the time.
Next it was on to the Country Music Hall of Fame, and now we are happy not to go to another museum for a very long time!
Nashville was busy at 10am wth bars serving beer, people dancing, and the bands playing. Each bar has three floors plus a roof terrace, and many have a different band on each floor! All the bars are side by side, so you can imagine the noise!
The hen parties were also out in force, many riding these pedal bars, drinking and singing at the top of their voices as they went down the street!
The building in the photo is known as the 'batman building' and the other photo is me enjoying the snow crabs I had for dinner!
