Boston Weather Vanes

Early(ish) this morning, while the skies were bright blue and the sun was shining brightly, we took our guests over to the wonderful outdoor fruit and vegetable market at Haymarket for some photographic fun.  Haymarket is open every Friday and Saturday all year round, and the produce is beautiful and very reasonably priced (see extra). We then wandered over to Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market for a cup of coffee before John headed off to Old North Church for a spot of bell ringing!  We took Kathy over to the waterfront so she could explore that area, and we walked back to the apartment to start tonight's dinner preparations. (On the walk back the clouds rolled in, and snowflakes began to drift down ...)

Sadly it would seem that we are not going to have a dinner party tonight after all, as all three East Coast blippers are now indisposed, and none of them are coming!  I really hope our British blippers like what's on the menu, because there will be a lot of it going begging over the next several days!

Here are two gilded weather vanes doing their shiny thing against the azure sky.  The grasshopper tops Faneuil Hall, and the splendid lobster advertises the appropriately named James Hook & Co. fish market.
