Supersized art

On a grey day in Harrogate, the most colourful subject I could find was these murals on the side of the Poliform building. I have blipped this building before but I love these giant 45rpm 7" singles, of which I still have a number gathering dust somewhere.

They are the work of artist Morgan Howell who specialises in 'supersized art'. His attention to detail is amazing, down to the creases in the distressed and torn paper sleeves of the records. (best viewed large)

These have actually been there since November, and were commissioned as part of an arts event celebrating 50 years since 1967, Sgt Pepper and the Summer Of Love. - Well that's what it says on their website.
