No more

This used to be a lovely avenue of horse chestnut trees. I don't know how old they were but I would guess 60 - 80 years. Last year they had to fell the far side of the road due to them suffering from 'conker canker' and now this week they are taking the remaining ones down.
The extra shows a pile of woodchip (which had a surprisingly rancid smell).
The new view from my dining room is a little sad now.
