Room with a view- Stirling University

I have just been to see Carmen from the Royal Opera House live by satellite at the Macrobert Arts Centre. (There was only one ticket left. We tossed a coin for it.  M lost.)

It’s a totally amazing production.  Its very contemporary – you either love it or hate it.

Personally I thought it too long but  then  I am not used to sitting through nearly four hours of opera though we did get an 18-minute interval.

The ticket cost me £12.50.  The equivalent in London would have been at least £125.

In the interval I met up with a number of friends and we all agreed its incredible think we get to see performances like this direct from London  - thanks to modern technology.

Moreover it’s better than actually living there because we don’t have the cost or the  hassle of travelling to the West End.

As for today’s photo it is taken from inside the Macrob café looking out to Stirling University.
