The Bush

Our tour group spent the morning at Te Papa, the National Museum of New Zealand. After viewing the section on the Gallipoli war we soothed our nerves with a stroll through the bush, an area of native plants and part of the museum, crossing a shoogly bridge (entitled 'swing bridge') in the process. The Giant Squid was duly admired along with other excellent displays, coffee and buns consumed and the shop perused.

Then it was back on the coach to the ferry, a pleasant crossing to Picton and a delicious meal in our new hotel.
