A very wet 4 hour ride!

I set off from home this morning at 08:50 to refuel and meet up with my Advanced Riding Instructor from RoSPA, Mike. We usually meet at the Aviator cafe at Gloucestershire Airport (Staverton), have a briefing and set off on a route depending on what he would like to see me doing.
Today, because of the constant rain, we stuck to 'A' roads, although in Gloucestershire that does not mean you aren't going to encounter farm mud and horse poo on the road!
We went through Cheltenham, up to Bourton on the Water, where we stopped and had a coffee and a mid ride debrief at the Chestnut Tree cafe, lovely pot of tea and a large fresh scone and jam.
Set off again a different route towards Northleach, on to Cheltenham but straight over 'Gloucester Road' until we came to 'Princess Elizabeth Way' and down to GCHQ, right at the roundabout in the Blip, past the secret HQ (not much of a secret, it's advertised on the number 94 bus! We stopped at Norton Garden centre, cup of coffee and final debrief and it was the first time he's mentioned thinking about putting me forward for the advanced test. A few more sessions to go yet though.
All the time it rained, and rained, and rained. Doesn't look bad in the photo but look top left and you can see the wet on the bike fairing.
It was good though, I felt it went well.
