Stickie slaughter

This shall be home, where danger was my cradle, and all we have learned will guard us!

The gang is back together. We have a full two day schedule that includes a board meeting and several hours of Wardley mapping at a pub somewhere in Somerset. Luckily the bar doesn’t open during the day.

It’s a long, hard day of strategic thinking and scrawling on Post Its. The high points include some improv for warmup (Only Questions and No!) and a walk up Windmill Hill at lunchtime to clear our heads.

After 6 we all head over to Sal’s for a bbq in her hut - most go in her camper van, but Steve and I walk through the dusk.

Jon joins us as the first batch of steak burgers approaches readiness. There’s beer and melted Camembert. Veggie skewers for the veggies and spicy chicken for those the want. The hut is really warm, but no one dozes off.

Jon, who has not been drinking, ferries us back to the pub, where we break out the whisky. It’s a 500ml bottle of Hazelwood, 18 year blend. It’s lovely, and Matt and I are forced, by a twisted universe, to stay up way too late.
