the grey seaside

Police, air ambulance and fire engines in our local area this morning! Eek! Details are still sketchy as to what exactly has happened but this kind of thing never normally happens here - what kind of world are we living in?!

We missed all of the drama though as we had a quick trip to Southend.  This is the view when you get out of the lift by the pier - a big hotel on the left of the picture, and out to to the sea, theme park and pier on the right!  Always nicer this time of year - less people around making a mess haha!
