Canary!!

A very unusual garden visitor today as this little canary flew in!! Clearly an escapee from an aviary - it was ringed and really rather beautiful with a lovely song. I feel pessimistic about its survival in the wild.  :-(
Another cold day over in the east and the forecasters say there is more cold weather on the way. Am taking vitamin D to compensate for the lack of sunlight!!
