Scarab

We had the two houses here built for us by proper builders while we supervised construction, but that was only the concrete, the brickwork, the roofs, the doors and windows and the exterior render. We moved in to bare concrete floors and bare brick walls and have been camping in the house while fitting it out bit by bit over the last twelve years. We're nearly there now, just some ceilings, cupboards, architrave, bits and bobs left to go. We should have it done in a couple of years, fingers crossed.

During most of that time Spousie has held the opinion that it is better to continue adding to the vast pile of junk outside the house until we have finished, and then have it cleared all in one go. I have not necessarily shared that opinion. But recently he changed his mind and here is Nestor, the village janitor with his little scarab truck doing what scarabs do best. I had to ask Nestor nicely to put the teddy upright, it had done a back-flip over the bar so that it's bum was skyward and it was gazing upside-down at the contents of the truck.
