My hospital procedure went OK. The surgeon wants to see me next week, to discuss some things.

After I got out of the hospital, I went home and slept for a while, then Mario & I went down to the bay to see some shot putters in action. There were athletes from all around the world, and of course, our own hometown champion, Tom Walsh, who won the Men's category with a throw of 22.06 meters.
A lot of the photos I took weren't great, so here's one of a wee girl watching the action, while holding a beach ball that the organisers were handing out to the kiddies.
