Glazed.

One of my students is planning on studying medicine at uni. She has chosen to examine anatomy in Art, as she feels (rightly) that this will complement her scientific studies. She’d referenced some Leonardo sketches and had thought about trying to do a painted study so I offered to show her how to use an oil based glaze to create a sense of depth. The study she copied was by the outstanding figurative artist, and former colleague, Mark Demsteader.
