Mist

The mist has descended again, although it was lovely and warm this afternoon. Yesterday it was thick mist all day long. Depressing.

Our holiday is almost over. It's been an odd one and we've not really done much. We decided to take ourselves away tomorrow night, just to get a break. Found a Travelodge room at a reasonable price not far from Petersfield. So we'll just go and have a potter.

Everyone descends on us on Saturday for the annual Bonfire celebrations and bonfire society fire walk/carnival near the beach. The huge bonfire is already being built and the fair has started to arrive. The carnival trucks will be getting ready too. It's a huge event and suddenly our little town will have thousands of visitors lining the street. The parade passes beneath our window so we have box office seats! We have one daughter & family staying over and the other daughter & family visiting plus 3 other visitors, so it is going to be busy.
