Girls in STEM

After staying last night at a hotel in the stadium for Bolton Wanderers, I (Annie) had a busy day supporting a Girls in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) event. Encouraging school girls of ages 11-13 to consider that they could have a career in any one of the disciplines - I was there as an example of a techy female. It was a really tiring but fulfilling day.

A hurried train home for an evening out with a great friend to paint art in a pub. It's a fun session put on by an organisation called Brush Party UK, where you grab a pint, get an easel and canvas, and are guided through the creation of an artwork in the evening. We were total beginners, but it was fun - the extra shows my creation.
