Baja Fairy Duster

Life has been a bit crazy lately. Today, life was a bit calmer, I was feeling well, and the morning was gorgeous. So I took a walk at the Desert Botanical Garden before the crowds arrived. It was lovely. I saw quail, cactus wrens (hopping around and making nests in the spikiest of cholla cacti), hummingbirds, cotton tail rabbits, and of course, lots of beautiful plants. I only had my cell phone camera - so I don't have any good pictures of the wildlife.

I love this plant. There are always hummingbirds nearby. I am afraid I don't know the name of the plant with the cool seeds ready to go behind it. When we finally fix up our backyard, we need at least one of these bushes.
