Flowering Glossy Abelia

This little beauty (Abelia x grandiflora, a hybrid between A. chinensis and A. uniflora) is now flowering on our glazed-in balcony. The genus (Abelia) is named after Abel Clarke, an English medical doctor and botanist.

Mostly overcast today, but we had one or two spells of sun, like in this blip.
