Between fen and mountains

Picking

I went into town at 8.30 this morning with a dusting of snow on the ground and a strong, biting wind coming from the east. The daffodil pickers were already in the fields. I wonder who will pick them after Brexit. The farmers cannot find local people to do the job and is it any wonder? I have a bit of work to do this afternoon but most of it will be spent in the warm watching the rugby.
