A BEAUTIFUL DAY

.......with the Freo Doctor having a little rest, as he seems to do in Autumn, the sun was shining and MrD and I took another Sunday drive to South Mole this time.  It was perfect.  I took in a couple of deep breaths of the fresh air and just watched what was happening all-around.  We are so lucky to live where we live.

I'm not overly happy with the two shots pieced together however, I wanted both of them.  The first one looking towards Rottnest Island (in the background) and the red lighthouse on North Mole - you never see Rottnest as clear as this and you are even able to see the central lighthouse on the island.  The second shot is of remnants to workings attached to a 'net', of sorts, that was strung across the entrance to the harbour (as shown) during World War II - to prevent enemy submarines entering.  That all seems another world away.  The link might interest you re the 'net'.

The extra is of a seagull taking off from South Mole.
MrD is recovering well.  The washing machine has been going flat out again - a tick for MrD and I managed the vacuuming - a tick for me.

Have a good week, everyone.
