beasties or blooms?

We have been watching the orchid buds ( or as the other half thought they originally looked like two cockroaches with their legs tucked up ! Trabroun Orchid Buds ) develop over the past few weeks and in the past 3 days they have finally come out in bloom

Can't help thinking that the newest one on the left is like a creature out of Dr Who
