Surviving....just!

A couple of weeks ago I bought this lovely anemone in our local garden centre after a nice lunch and catch-up with B.   I had an empty pot just waiting for a splash of colour to enliven our little display at the back door.

Well, despite being completely blanketed in snow, twice!, it has survived and continues to bloom.   It makes me smile.

...and the crocuses too are managing to survive this latest blast of icy winter weather - just.   They were just a little too frozen looking for a portrait.
