Hare in the snow

We've had an interesting day today in Hungary as we didn't set off from the hotel in Budapest till 11.00 am due to the snow.
We travelled generally along the way towards Egar with detours along the way - saw lots of song thrushes in the woods, some of which looked pretty exhausted. They have just come into Hungary on migration only to find the fields covered in snow and therefore little food for them. If there isn't a thaw in the next couple of days our guide thinks maybe as much as 20% won't survive.
The snow, however, meant that what we did see showed up well including this hare which posed beautifully. The extra is a Long Eared Owl which is a lot rarer find.
