fishing in the freeze

Today was a good day for fishing. It was really cold and windy, so my lunchtime walk was brisk but worth it. I had seen this before, a particular spot close to the coast, when the conditions are right it must be a favourite for shoals of fish. This does not go unnoticed and attracts all the cormorants in the area to gather, about 30 of them were busy diving and flying in and out.

I would have loved to have stayed longer to watch the spectacle but my short lunchbreak and numb fingers made me go back in the office. The area where I work is quite industrial and can be bleak, but I feel lucky to have this at my doorstep for just another week before we move offices.
