Full Steam Ahead

An unusual day's work on the Talyllyn.  Photographic charters are run entirely for the benefit of photographers who like to alight at various places, not always at the stations, and picture the train running past.  As in TV shoots this can involve repeating the same thing many times!  On a bright but seriously cold day with a fierce cold wind blowing from the east, it was fun of a slightly different kind :-)

Two photos show the two original TR locomotives, all four original coaches, the original TR guards van and a couple of replica wagons, recreating something close to the look of the 1860's when they were built. In one of the extras the loco has taken on water at Dolgoch where the overflow has frozen into a massive icicle.

The well wrapped up enthusiasts seemed to enjoy the day ..... I was glad to finish mid-afternoon after a 715 start.  The are all on a night shoot at the top of the line as I write!
