A look back in time

I've been busy today but not too busy to carefully craft this image for you. I'm sure that you will already have recognised that this is shortly after an interstellar molecular cloud suffered a gravitational collapse and formed the solar system. Clearly shown is the main-sequence star which we know as the sun; at its core temperatures and densities are high enough to sustain nuclear fusion of hydrogen into helium. All this happened more than 4.5 billion years ago but I have still been able to bring you a visual representation of it.
