Pied stilt in full cry

The pied stilts were doing a lot of calling, as there were a couple of harrier hawks were hovering round. There were several birds with young in the area, paradise ducks, swans and geese, so I think the hawks were after those rather than these grown birds.

Scientific name: Himantopus himantopus
Maori name: poaka
