Fingask Loch

Back blip

Saturday of our weekend away near Blairgowrie started bright and dry, but there was a bitterly cold wind, which limited our desire to stay outside for long periods.

We set off in the late morning to do a circular walk along the River Ericht and up to a local landmark called The Knockie. However, after a couple of kilometres we decided a shorter route was preferable and returned along the riverside path which also forms part of the long-distance Cateran Trail. After a late and lazy lunch back in Blairgowrie, we drove down to see the Meikleour Beech Hedge and then went for a short walk near Fingask Loch (pictured) and White Loch.

Maybe not the walk we'd intended but it was good to get out in the 'fresh' air.
