Staircase

We went to a cafe for breakfast - this one - where I (to G's astonishment) ate the largest breakfast I've ever eaten.  It may have been the largest meal I've eaten since we've known each other.  They tried to give me Earl Grey tea to drink though.  That's a point off.  Earl Grey is not (IMO) a breakfast tea.  Another surprise was the mushrooms - never had fried mushrooms and garlic for breakfast before - but then, I've never eaten a cooked breakfast in Belgium before.  Maybe it's The Thing To Eat.

On the way to the cafe, we passed a bloke who was doing that whole intense talking to himself and no-one around him thing.  I said to G "What are the chances that's he's going to the same place we are?"  I have a talent for this sort of thing.  He did indeed go to the same place as us but thankfully we got a table a long way from him.

Afterwards we went to the Magritte Museum because a little surrealism is always a good thing.  I enjoyed the paintings a lot more than the building.

The building was another of these "Let's open it up" designs which always make me feel more than nauseous. And thoughtfully, there was really only that one way to experience the museum.  I couldn't use the lift (only employees have a card to call the lift) and there was no other staircase to use.  And I really, really dislike being made to feel like a freak.

The staircase in this Blip is not the one in question.  This is a pretty one in another museum.

The weather today turned.  It's been raining pretty much all day.  I foresee very little happening for the rest of today.
