Another bit of local history...

... with one of my Then & Now blips of Harrogate scenes.

Today Knaresborough Road is one of the busiest roads leading into the town centre, though I managed to wait for a rare gap in traffic for the picture. 

What appeared to be open fields on the far side of the road in the 1920s was developed into one of the largest housing estates in the town.
