Moel Siabod View

The forecast was for a windy day so we didn't venture too high up today. We didn't have to drive anywhere just walked straight from Beddgelert where we were staying.

The route took us out of the village towards Llyn Dinas. We waked along the lake for a while before heading off up into the hills. The walk brought us back to Nantmor and one of the stops for the Welsh Highland Railway. Unfortunately the trains have started running for the season yet. The last part of the walk was along the Aberglaslyn Pass following the dramatic tumbles of the Afon Glaslyn, back to Beddgelert.

We had a few flakes of snow and the wind, but it was also quite sunny. Yet another great day out.

The extra shot is of a remote cottage we passed with Moel Hebog in the background. No car access, no facilities. A really remote dwelling.
