Project Haresgill #1

Personally, I prefer Hare's Gill.

If I remember aright, in the early - mid 80s it made local fame by being the first local dwelling to change hands for ≥£0.5M .

In those far off days there was a HUGE Boulder at each side of the entrance. (Project #2) I can't, honestly, remember if it was named twice, as this is; BUT I do know they didn't feel the need to tell folk it was private.

It never looked like a road which goes anywhere, that you'd turn and say:-
"Shall we see where this goes?"
