Egg box

Found while clearing one of the sheds....
A very old sturdy stapled cardboard box for transporting a dozen eggs...
by "rail or parcel post"
No idea how old it is...perhaps the 40s??50s??
Today's eggs still fit snug and safe inside.

(And the linen fabric finally arrived. I'd better getting sewing dresses! )
