A rubbish day . . .

. . . as I believe the kids of today would say. Except that it wasn't. We got rained on and we got sunned on, we trod in quite a lot of dog poo and we collected enough bottles and cans to fill about a dozen bags, quite a lot of which came out of the water. We had seven people on our patch, including a 77 year old lady, a young disabled woman and a 7 year old girl and the cafe on the bridge gave us free tea and cakes!

So far today the tally is around 120 bags from all over the town, with quite a few pickers still to report in. So the 'Oban Spring Clean', Part One, was a great success. I'd like to think that there are people sprawled in front of their TVs tonight feeling desperately guilty about the amount of work that they have caused by their careless littering, but somehow I think not!

So tomorrow is another day and we'll do it all again!
