Cartier-Bresson Stairs

I made my annual pilgrimage today to the Fondation Henri Cartier-Bresson, to see its current exhibition, on a Polish photographer and painter,  Zbigniew Dłubak (1921-2005). He took very personal approaches to surrealism and abstraction in photography.  The building is small but it has a lovely open spiral staircase. Usually I photograph the stairs horizontally or looking down, but here I pointed my camera up.  In the center is a large photograph by Dłuback, which employs one of his imaginative approaches:  He photographed an ordinary door handle, printed the image and then captured both the handle and the image together.  I find this intriguing and it's unique in my experience.
