Big Birthday Boy

It was my father in law’s 80th birthday - he didn’t want any fuss so it was celebrated with a nice family dinner at the Salisbury Arms in town.

We saw an owl sat in a tree in someone’s garden as we were heading to find a taxi (to be fair I’d heard it first) - not something you expect to see in a city but a lovely end to the evening.

It was a beautiful spring-like day, and then I saw the weather forecast - the white stuff looks to be returning midweek.
