Obvious pesticide & herbicide destruction

From my bedroom window. The few days have seen this field rapidly turning yellow. Yesterday the fallen tree was cut and hauled away, revealing this square of green grass in corner of dead field.
Impressively horrifying in week when news told us of huge reduction of various bird varieties in France due to pesticides used in agriculture.
